Forming the border between Argentina and Brazil, Iguazu Falls are a sight to behold. We visited the Argentinian southern side first. The view from this side is from the top of the Falls. Three paths , Paseo Inferior, Paseo Superior and Paseo Garganta del Diablo lead us on a tour of the Argentinian side.
The falls are very popular and it is a well-run operation with a little train to take you to the trails. It was very busy though; much busier than Victoria Falls in Zambia/Zimbabwe and no comparison to the Kalandula Falls in Angola where we were amongst less than ten visitors.
After a full day at the Falls we returned to our campsite and crossed into Brazil the following day, wondering if it would be any different. It was: the view from this side encompasses the whole sweep of the Falls (some 2.7 km long) and, as Francine keeps saying, it is amazing.
What stunning photos
Amazing; it sounds and looks amazing
Hey! AMAZING!!
So great to see you two and with the Falls in the background. AMAZING!!
I have to admit, the Falls were the highlight of our trip in Argentina- and even in South America – we visited chile, Bolivia and Argentina in 2016. A wonderful trip …
Enjoy!! go and see the Gaucho ranch juts outside Argentina – eat meat till you drop, be serenaded by a love-lorn local singing sad songs, and watch the horse-whisperers at work..we even rode at sunset – but I had an old nag , half-blind, who accidentally rammed me into a gatepost !
lots of love, Jean and Fraser xx
The standout voice: Where are we, Francine?
And hardly audible in response: Iguazu Falls.
Hardly audible as the mighty roar of the truly magnificent Iguazu Falls almost drowned out the response.
What an amazing spectacle; what a sight to behold; and in comparison to the treacle of yesteryear!!!
More! More! The audience erupts!
Looks great guys.
I have been about 25 years ago though and it wasn’t so busy or organised back then.
I hope you are both well and see you on the other side!
Spectactular ! Superb pictures , thank you xx
So beautiful!!!!!
So beautiful!!!
Wow!
They look amazing, I must admit I know absolutely nothing about South America, so this is going to be a great way to ‘see it’.
Can’t wait for the next instalment.
I’m jealous! We even owned a house nearby, but never managed to get to the falls. Well done 🙂
