When we started this blog, we were thinking that only friends and family would read it, but we have realised that it is quite a good way to meet other people who are travelling or want to travel. So it was that Salima got in touch with us, when we pulled up in her home town of Bouarfa. We arranged to meet the next morning and not only did she show us around town, but we were invited to meet her lovely family and share a delicious homemade lunch prepared by her Mum.
Although she has yet to travel outside of Morocco, Salima speaks excellent English and we had a great conversation, exchanging information on both sides about our lives. It was a really special experience for us! A BIG thank you to Salima and her family for their hospitality and Salima, we wish you well for your own adventure!
That’s wonderful, nothing beats getting to know a new place through the eyes of someone who lives there. And to experience how they live is a bonus! Hope you enjoy many more such encounters.
Yes, we felt very honoured to be invited – and the food was yummy!😉
