Lyndon and Ruth established Pinnon Lodge in the Kafue National Park, Zambia. Their story is interesting, so interesting Channel Four featured them in TV programme ‘Our Wildest Dreams’. We got to know this lovely couple and their adorable kids, Indiana and Ivy, through Dylan – they stay at his farm when doing a supplies trip to Lusaka.
Lyndon’s and David’s birthdays fell on the same long weekend in June and Lyndon very kindly hosted a ‘gathering’ at their lodge. And so the hordes descended for a fun weekend on the banks of the Kafue River. We had a great time fishing, kite flying, game driving, braaing and drinking. A truly memorable weekend.
Fantastic photos, what an amazing experience to have, beats the heck out of lockdown in the uk!
Take care
Hi Pauline & John, We are very pleased we didn’t bolt for the UK.
What a fantastic experience you’re having (including the mud fiascos)! On one hand I miss making friends and experiencing new places. On the other hand, it’s been nice to have my own space and garden to wait out the pandemic. Glad to share your experience – thanks for blogging!
Hi Chris, Yes we are having ‘the adventure’. The mud fiascoes were more of a nightmare though!! We are experiencing both scenarios: meeting new people and seeing new places, but holed up in Dylan’s garden at the same time! Thank you for reading our blog Chris.
Some amazing photos and lovely memories you’re making. Not to mention new friends, which is missing here. With slight lifting of restrictions I got to visit my family in Dursley, Glos. The young ones are growing so fast, makes you realise how much time has gone by. Take care and enjoy your enforced stay xx
Thanks Ania. Yes, Dave takes some great photos! Glad that you’re making the most of the easing of UK restrictions! xx
